Collector Amrapali Behind Ravi Babu’s ‘Aaviri’

‘Aaviri’ is going to be actor turned director Ravi Babu’s 14th film as a director, and he seems to be confident that his movie is going to be refreshing as it has a fresh theme that can bring audiences to the theaters.

He explained in a recent interview, that he got the idea for ‘Aaviri‘ one day when he came across a news item on television about IAS officer Amrapali and why she changed her bungalow claiming it to be haunted.

That incident inspired him to make ‘Aaviri’. Hecopines that his movie is different from other horror and thriller movies. Most of the horror films fail to bring audiences to the theaters because they are frightening.

So, the horror comedy genre has gained prominence but even that genre has become restricted to cliche humor, said Ravi Babu. He thinks, his ‘Aaviri’ will be different from other movies belonging to this genre. Let’s see.
