This Dasara season, there are multiple new outings at the Tollywood box office. The two confirmed releases are Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Tamil star Vijay’s Leo. There are reports that Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageshwara Rao also could be releasing this Dasara season.
While the obvious choice is Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi’s Bhagavanth Kesari, Tamil film, Leo is now pushover.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is a notable name in Telugu, thanks to Vikram and Khaidi. Vijay is also a reasonably big name in Telugu as his films have been gaining momentum increasingly in the Telugu market. So things are bright for Leo in Telugu as well.
As for Bhagavanth Kesari, the film marks the coming together of Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi. Anil Is known for comedy capers but he is changing the track for the Balakrishna starrer as he is tapping into the mass image of Balayya.
The sheer X factor of the Balayya, Anil Ravipudi collaboration keeps Kesari in pole position.
While Anil is known for his trademark slapstick comedy, paired with Balayya mass, Lokesh is coming with his forte of action thriller and the increasing popularity of Vijay in the Telugu states. This clash should be an interesting one this Dasara season. If Ravi Teja too joins the race, then things could spice up further.
