2 years jail for Jeevitha Rajasekhar – Updated

Jeevitha Rajasekhar, wife of actor Rajasekhar, has been given two years of jail imprisonment by the Erramanzil court in Hyderabad today. Apart from the jail term she is also asked to pay a fine of rupees 25 lakhs.

The case was filed by a financier who loaned 25 Lakhs to Jeevitha Rajasekhar during the filming of Evadaithe Nakenti, a film that released in 2007. Over the next seven years he has been making rounds relentlessly for the money but it never was given to him. Even the checks that were given to him at various points bounced and finally getting fed up with all this, the financier filed a case in a court in Hyderabad.

The actress was previously issued a non bailable warrant in the case as she continued to be absent from the hearings. The court as a result has taken the strictest measure possible. We have to see what reaction the couple take.

Latest: After depositing Rs 25 Lakh as security Jeevitha has got the bail. She said she is not guilty and she will pursue with Supreme court if needed.
