Cyber cafes in Hyderabad under scrutiny!

Telangana government has taken a decision on keeping a vigil on the Cyber Cafes in the twin cities which many times are becoming a hub for anti-social activities. Cyber Cafes have no registrations or monitoring so far and they become easy way of communication for terrorists and other anti-social elements.

There are 1000s of Cyber cafes in Twin Cities and to monitor them government has made them mandatory to register with the Commissionerates of Twin Cities and SP offices. Government also made it must for the cafes to maintain the details and ID proofs of all its customers.

Also the cafes need to have CCTV cameras installed. The Police department is directed to issue permissions for Cyber cafes only if they comply with the above rules. This new rules are applicable for both the old ones and yet to be established cafes.
