Deepika OUT of Prabhas’ Film: Real or Fake?

Deepika Padukone Kalki 2

Deepika Padukone’s exit from Sandeep Vanga’s Spirit has put her in the center of rumors and speculations, with some claiming she was also dropped from the KALKI 2898 AD sequel due to her ‘unreasonable’ demands.

Many suggested Deepika had requested an eight-hour workday on the Spirit sets due to her pregnancy and made similar requests for KALKI part 2.

Following this, internet trolls took the opportunity to paint all kinds of theories around Deepika being unprofessional and losing one project after another.

Despite the online noise, reports about Deepika being dropped from KALKI 2898 AD Part 2 turned out to be nothing but baseless rumors. Sources close to the production confirmed that she remains an integral part of the franchise.

In reality, Deepika’s character is central to the KALKI universe, dropping her would be like cutting the spine out of the story. The arc revolves around her, and she isn’t just a supporting name in the crowded star cast.

One social media user pointed out that KALKI 2 won’t even go on floors until 2026, so there’s no chance of Deepika making such demands while the film is still in pre-production, reconfirming how quickly rumors become headlines without any resemblance to reality.

Fans, too, defended Deepika on this one, stating if she truly was so unprofessional, she wouldn’t have bagged big-ticket projects like SRK’s KING or the upcoming Allu Arjun-Atlee film.

Many noted that the industry has always been brutal to new mothers; an actress is expected to do her bit only if she’s able to commit fully to a project.

Whether or not Deepika was “removed,” the message is loud and clear—Bollywood and some of its followers still don’t know how to handle powerful women who won’t play by their outdated rules.
