Deepika’s Choice Atlee Over Vanga: Wise or Blunder?

Deepika Padukone’s decision to exit Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and join Atlee’s upcoming film with Allu Arjun is being seen as a smart and strategic move.

After watching the teaser, where she appears as a warrior queen — fierce, graceful, and commanding — it’s clear she’s chosen a project that aligns more closely with her image and strengths.

The reports around her exit from Spirit mentioned creative and professional differences.

Deepika reportedly asked for an 8-hour workday, with only 6 hours for actual shooting and the rest reserved for prep.

She also wanted extra payment if the shoot went beyond 100 days, and requested a share in the film’s profits.

These conditions didn’t sit well with the Animal director, who allegedly decided to part ways.

More importantly, Spirit was said to have a sensual, intimate role for the female lead — something that might not have matched Deepika’s current career choices.

She’s recently been seen in powerful roles like the one in Kalki 2898 AD, where her presence was subtle yet soulful.

Atlee’s new film, on the other hand, seems to give her a grand and central role. With big production values and a larger-than-life story, it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Indian films in the making.

All things considered, choosing this over Spirit looks like a wise decision — one that preserves her dignity as an actor and allows her to shine in a powerful role.
