Dhanush Addresses Political Buzz and Apologises to Fans

Dhanush found himself addressing two different issues at the audio launch of OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood in Chennai. While speculation about his possible political entry continues, the actor responded to claims that political forces are backing him. He also had to apologise after several fans with valid passes were denied entry to the event.

Speaking about the political rumours, Dhanush said that God guides him and that his fans and the people stand behind him. His remarks appeared to address allegations that a political party was pulling the strings behind him, with some even branding him as a BJP-backed actor. However, Dhanush made no announcement about entering politics and said his immediate focus remains on his films.

Meanwhile, the audio launch on Friday, November 6, turned disappointing for thousands of fans who had secured passes but could not enter the venue as the crowd exceeded capacity. The issue drew attention after several pass-holders were reportedly turned away.

Responding to the incident, Dhanush issued an apology through his X account on Saturday. He said it pained him that thousands of fans had to return despite having tickets. Taking responsibility, he expressed regret and promised to ensure that such a situation would not happen again.

The two developments have put Dhanush’s OM audio launch in the spotlight for reasons beyond the film itself.
