Chakravarthy stated that Major scenes from Dhurandhar were inspired by Satya and a couple of scenes were even lifted from Shiva.

J.D. Chakravarthy revealed that Aditya Dhar himself told Ram Gopal Varma that Dhurandhar was inspired by Satya and Shiva. According to J.D., Aditya Dhar admitted that he took the essence of those classics and blended it with a patriotic backdrop to create his own film.

That doesn’t mean Dhurandhar is a remake of Satya, but it clearly carries the DNA of RGV’s gritty crime dramas in its visual language, character design, and storytelling rhythm.
