Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar created records at the box office a few months ago. For the first time, two films released within a gap of only three months were able to accumulate more than Rs. 1,000 crores.
Although Dhurandhar is not in theatres right now, it continues to remain a topic of debate on social media. While the movie’s realistic setting has been receiving praise, the allegations of being a propaganda film have not ended yet, and it is something that will be in discussion forever.
Meanwhile, the movie has come into the headlines once again. This is due to the ongoing issues in the country, including the CJP protests and netizens have now started dragging the movie into the matter. Dhurandhar and Aditya Dhar are being eventually targeted in this case.
Most of the social media users pointed out that although Dhurandhar had a soundtrack that has turned out to be memorable for all those who watched it on the big screen, none of the songs from the film have been played at the protests. Instead, songs of Rang De Basanti and Swades have been used during the protests.
While Aditya has not announced the future of the franchise, people have now started making fun of the director and the film at the same time. Most of them stated that Aditya’s film addressed the topic of demonetisation and a lot of other problems.
After the ongoing protests, netizens reacted in a funny way, saying that Aditya Dhar will make Dhurandhar 3, with four chapters. Each of them will focus on four ongoing issues of India, including the NEET scam, the fall of the rupee, fuel and gold issues, and unemployment.
People stated that such issues will easily pull the audience at the box office and the movie will collect Rs. 2,000 crores at the box office.
As of now, Aditya Dhar has not reacted to the ongoing situation on social media. Notably, the silence of celebrities about the protests are being questioned and it is believed that no response from Aditya and everyone else is the reason that he and his movie are being targeted.
