Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is all set to take an earth-shattering opening at the box office, going by the kind of advance bookings happening not just in India but also overseas.
The film has already sold more than 2 Lakh tickets in the biggest multiplex chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. The film is looking to cross the 6.5 Lakh tickets sold by Baahubali 2 in 2017 and also break SRK’s own record of 5.6 Lakh tickets sold in advance during Pathaan.
In Nizam, especially in Hyderabad, Jawan’s advance bookings are super strong. More than 250 shows have been allotted to Jawan in Hyderabad, and 180 shows are in fast-filling mode. The theaters are adding more shows to match the demand, and those shows are also getting into the orange zone within minutes.
Dil Raju was almost committed to buying the Jawan’s theatrical rights in the Nizam territory. But due to reasons unknown, he backed off at the last minute. The rights of Jawan in the Nizam territory have been bagged by Rajshri Pictures.
Many in the trade are commenting that Dil Raju made a wrong decision by not buying Jawan’s Nizam rights. Going by the advance bookings, Jawan is bound to take a bumper opening.
Dil Raju is a shrewd distributor. We will know whether Dil Raju made a good or bad decision on September 7, when Jawan will be released.
