Director K Balachander is no more

It is now official director K Balachander is no more. The veteran legend from Tamil cinema has been admitted to hospital few days ago with critical health. It immediately sparked the rumours of his death but they were condemned by the hospital staff.

K Balachander has been admitted to hospital for urinal infection and the doctors said that it was a very critical situation with the director not able to perform his daily chores. The director is 84 years old and survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.

K Balachander is a multiple award winner, including the biggest cinematic excellent award given to cinema artist in India, Dadasaheb Phalke. He has been credited as mentor to stalwarts like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Prakash Raj. May his soul rest in peace.
