Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is always known for making tall promises. His promises are so powerful that they even make the Surplus budget look pale. The latest such promise if the housing complexes for poor in upmarket areas like Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. The first major concern is the land availability in these areas.
KCR promises to use land lying unutilized in university campuses, private schools, government offices in addition to the land given by the government to various clubs in the city. Interestingly the government is planning to use similar land for auctioning and making money to fund the other welfare schemes. And if the same lands are to be used for both the purposes, then every one know that there is no much government land available in Hyderabad and Banjara Hills. Is KCR planning to buy land in Banjara Hills or Jubilee Hills where acre runs in to several Crores?

Let’s assume there is some land or some land bought in these areas. Can the below Poverty Line families afford to live in these posh areas? The cost of living in these areas is so high that even the upper middle class can not afford it? The government promised 2 BHK flats for all the poor in the state and it is estimated that 2000 acres are needed for this housing project in Hyderabad. The land expenses and the 2BHK flats expenses have the power of shattering all of best expectations!
