Dragon shoot resumes soon
Fans finally have a major update on Dragon, the much-awaited collaboration between Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel. The film will soon resume shooting, and the makers are confident of meeting the announced release date.
At the Irumudi success meet on Wednesday, Mythri Ravi Shankar revealed that Dragon will resume shooting within the next two weeks. The team is targeting February 2027 to complete the entire shoot and is confident of releasing the film on June 11, 2027.
Dragon had to take a break after NTR suffered an injury during the shoot. He reportedly continued working for some time with his hand in a sling before taking a break and undergoing surgery. The delay raised concerns among fans, especially since the film involves large-scale action and extensive production work.
The latest update should come as a relief to NTR fans. If the shoot is completed by February, the makers will have a few months to finish the post-production work before the planned release.
The film has huge expectations as it marks the first collaboration between NTR and Prashanth Neel. Neel is known for his larger-than-life action films, while NTR is looking to strengthen his pan-India market after RRR, Devara, and War 2.
Dragon is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, with Ravi Basrur composing the music.
For now, the biggest takeaway is that Dragon is moving again after the injury-related break. If everything goes as planned, NTR fans can expect to see the film in theatres on June 11, 2027.
