The Telugu film industry has seen disruptions in its release plans due to the postponement of the pan-Indian film ‘Salaar’ from its original release date of September 28th. This change in schedule has caused a domino effect.
One notable change is that the mass action entertainer ‘Skanda,’ which was initially planned for release on Vinayaka Chavithi, has now been postponed to Salaar’s release date.
As a result, no Telugu films will be released for the Ganesh festival, and instead, dubbed films like ‘Mark Antony’ and ‘Chandramukhi 2’ will be hitting theaters on the same date.
SRK’s Jawan, which is releasing this week, will also look to dominate the TS/AP box office in its dubbed version in its second weekend if the reports are positive.
In the past, many Tollywood biggies, like Saaho, used to cash in on the Vinayaka Chaturthi festival holiday season. But this year, the Telugu audience will have to be satisfied watching dubbing films in theaters instead of straight Telugu films.
