Exclusive: Salaar Gets Postponed

Prbhas-Salaar-BookingsSalaar, the collaborative project of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel is one of the biggest mass actioners in Indian cinema. The film looked set for September 28 release, as announced by the makers a long while ago.

However, the latest developments are suggesting that the film’s release might get postponed.

It is now understood by M9 News that the makers have started to inform the distributors that the film’s release has been postponed indefinitely.

While fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Salaar, the post production had been going on at a rampant rate for a while now. However, the team appears to have failed in this race against time to get the final product ready.

The official announcement on the postponement of release is to be out sooner than later. December release is being seen as a possible slot for the film.

All this while the film has done over $500k in advance sales at the USA box office a month before it’s release. This last minute postponement, which looks imminent, comes as a rude shock to fans.

In this context, it is heard that the makers of Skanda are themselves planning to postpone their release from 15 September and are looking to occupy the vacant 28 September slot. The producer is contemplating this but the director Boyapati Sreenu is not interested in the same, it is heard.
