“Fake” Buzz Mars Janatha Garage Opening

Young Tiger NTR is one of the biggest stars of Telugu cinema. All his films open exceedingly well and when the right combination arrives, like Janatha Garage, he takes it a notch higher. It is for this consistent ability to deliver massive openings that he is called King Of Openings.

Coming to Janatha Garage, the film was always bound to open well and it did in fact, open well. It is the third best opener of all time. So, everything is fine, isn’t it? Well, not so. The film is marred by “fake” buzz associated with the openings numbers. First of all, there is a huge ambiguity over the overall number what with some territories which come up with proper break ups also failing to come up with one. There is a number floating for every territory with no break up available like it has been previously for many films.

What makes matter worse is in the places where numbers are available the film is far away from any records. The biggest of them being the Ceded which is strong territory for Jr NTR, it is very low for a film like Janatha Garage. Whatever the “actual” number be, it would still be third highest, one wonders why all this farce when all it is going to do is damage the reputation.
