2023 saw many films that collected 100 crores gross on their opening day. Starting with Pathaan in January, then Adipurush in June, Jawan in September, Leo in October, and Animal and Salaar in December.
There were expectations that Guntur Kaaram would start the count this year by collecting 100 crores gross on its opening day. But poor word of mouth and single language release restricted it from touching the magical figure.
Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film Fighter was also seen as the next 100 crore opener. But the way advance bookings have turned out even a 50 crore gross first day seems tough.
So which film is going to be the first 100-crore opener of the year? Devara is one of the contenders. Then comes Kalki 2898 AD, Pushpa 2, Vijay’s GOAT, Indian 2, and Game Changer.
Let us see if any other film can surprise and enter the 100-crore opener club this year.
