But all the rules were bypassed to get this extension.

The Extension happened only twice in history. Narayan Das Narang got an extension during the Corona, while NV Prasad previously got one during the Bifurcation.

Bharath Bhushan and his team say they need an extension because Bharath Bhushan is close to the CMs of both the Telugu States, and that connections would ensure appointments and work.

There is a revolt in the Chamber over this extension.

Five Members of the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (ATFPG) elected to the Chamber – Dil Raju, Mythri Ravi, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Supriya, and Tagore Madhu had a Zoom Meeting yesterday and decided to resign.

They will resign when their term ends this month-end, rejecting the extension, and demanding the immediate conduct of elections.

Meanwhile, Six Former Presidents of the Chamber also wrote a letter calling for the extension against the bylaws and demanded to conduct the elections as per the plan.

KS Rama Rao, Gemini Kiran, N.Sudhakar Reddy, Basireddy (Digiquest), Veeri Naidu, and N.V.Prasad are the Former Presidents who wrote the letters demanding the immediate election.

Some of the members are also contemplating going to the court if the elections are not held as planned.

There are rumors that Bharath Bhushan and Prasanna are pushing for an extension because of the latest real estate project they are planning in Chitrapuri. Being in power is extremely crucial when such a costly project is coming up.
