Free Metro Rides to Hyderabadis!

Hyderabad Metro Rail officials will be very soon offering free Metro rides to 1000 people in the route between Nagole and Mettuguda as a part of the project’s Operation Readiness Test. In short by this move, the preparedness of the Metro rail and the states in dealing with the rush will be tested.Passengers will be selected from schools, colleges, IT firms etc. by conducting various contests and programmes.

These tests will go on for a week. The officials with this act will not only test the project but also popularize it among people by giving a first-hand experience and feel of a world-class commuting service free of cost. Seven trains will be tested in this drive. Already the empty Metro trains are ferried in this route as part of trial runs.

After these tests, the concessionaire will rectify the faults if any in the trains, tracks and as well as the stations. After the successful completion of tests and rectifications, they will apply for railway safety tests.On the other side the Kukatpally Miyapur route is also ready and trial runs are being conducted with empty trains.
