Game Changer, a political action drama starring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar, recently faced a big setback when a song was leaked online. The leaked song swiftly gained popularity across social media platforms, going viral in no time.
In response to the incident, the production company has taken legal action by filing a police complaint against those responsible for the unauthorized release. They’ve also called for stringent actions against individuals sharing the song on social media platforms, including WhatsApp.
Usually, songs in Shankar’s films are very ambitious, aesthetically, audio-wise, and also visually. But the leaked song was heavily trolled on social media as it sounded like a very ordinary and outdated folk song that just didn’t match the caliber of being in a Shankar film.
There were huge reservations from a section of the audience when Shankar decided to go with Thaman instead of his favorite, AR Rahman. Many felt Shankar was making a mistake as Thaman could never match the quality of songs from Shankar’s previous films. And if we go by the response to this leaked song, their fears have come true.
It is now crucial that the first song, whenever it is released officially, turns out to be great and erases the bad taste created by this leaked song from the audience’s memory.
