A fresh debate is trending on social media, targeting Pawan Kalyan for the failure of Game Changer, the much-anticipated film directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan.
Critics and haters claim that Pawan Kalyan’s presence as the chief guest at the Rajahmundry pre-release event turned out to be a “jinx” and contributed to the disaster. This isn’t the first time such accusations have emerged.

Similar claims were made in the past, linking Pawan’s attendance at events for films like Republic, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, and Ante Sundaraniki to their underperformance at the box office, leading some to label him as a “bad sentiment.”
However, these arguments don’t hold water when one considers his presence at events for successful films like Julayi, A Aa, and Magadheera. If his involvement was genuinely unlucky, why didn’t those films suffer the same fate?

The real issue with Game Changer lies in its outdated content and poor execution. Audiences rejected the film due to its weak script and disjointed direction.
Comparatively, Sankranti releases like Daaku Maharaj and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam managed to perform decently, even with average content, because they catered better to audience expectations.

Ironically, Pawan Kalyan’s involvement as Deputy CM during the event brought some additional buzz to Game Changer, which otherwise could have been written off even before the release. Unfortunately, the hype was short-lived due to the film’s failure to deliver.
Blaming Pawan Kalyan for the film’s disaster is baseless. The fiasco lies squarely on the outdated narrative and senseless direction which highlights the undeniable fact that today’s audiences demand quality content above all else.
