Geethanjali beats Mirchi and SVSC

It’s raining blockbusters for Televisions these days. Thanks to the aggressive promotions many films are registering superb TRP’s but the Diwali holiday had a surprise.

After ages a small film that doesn’t have any big names in it recorded massive viewership and put the film along the top 5 biggest Television debuts of the year. The film is Geethanjali, a horror comedy presented by Kona Venkat. The film registered 15.23 TRP rating which is the biggest for among small films. In fact the TRP’s are higher than those of Mirchi and Seethamma Vakilto Sirimalle Chettu on their respective debuts.

Geethanjali was a massive success theatrically as well and this small screen success once again highlights the fact that it’s the content that matters and not the stars in the film.
