Ghaati Trailer Talk: Anushka’s Violent Comeback?

The trailer of Ghaati directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, starring by Anushka Shetty is out. The first impression is it’s an interesting trailer cut that manages to raise the stakes.

Krish has always shown a flair for crafting strong women-centric stories and Ghaati seems to follow in that tradition.

The backdrop is instantly refreshing with a setting and struggle that feel fresh and rooted in emotion.

The transformation of Anushka’s character into a violent force is dramatic, though it carries a sense of deja vu. If this doesn’t turn out to be a routine, predictable story in a new setup, there’s nothing to worry about. Otherwise, it will be.

There are also noticeable VFX inconsistencies in a few of Anushka Shetty’s scenes that may distract. Still, the trailer offers hope. It hints at a powerful, emotionally charged narrative that could resonate well if executed well.

The film’s strength will ultimately depend on how deeply Krish has woven emotion into the story and how effectively the violence is justified by the arc.

If Ghaati delivers it has the potential to break out quickly as the word of mouth from the very first show could spark a big momentum. Women-led films, when done right strike a strong chord and travel far.

Produced by Rajiv Reddy and Sai Babu under Fast Frame Entertainments and presented by UV Creations, Ghaati is slated to release on September 5th. It will clash with Teja Sajja’s Mirai, another highly anticipated release.
