Gorantla Episode: Just What The Doctor Ordered For TDP

The Reports of TDP Senior leader Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary contemplating resigning from the party and his MLA seat have become a sensation. Gorantla, a leader in TDP since 1982 is going to media debates and is airing issues about the party especially regarding ‘accessibility of the Top Brass’.

While it may come as embarrassing for TDP, it has the potential to bring much-needed course correction for the party. These are issues no one can really bring to the notice of the party’s leadership. Someone senior like Gorantla saying adds value to the issue.

Coming to the resignation party, Gorantla, known to be a staunch supporter of TDP is very unlikely to leave the party. He seems to be trying to bring more attention to his words in the garb of attention. The party leadership should take this positively and make necessary changes.
