Director Gunasekhar’s ‘Rudhramadevi’ featuring Anushka is shaping up faster than most of us would have expected. The makers are leaving no stones unturned with respect to doing everything possible to make the film look grand. The latest we hear is that they have spent a whopping INR 5 crore only on jewelry for the film.
The film’s official page on Facebook announced to all its followers that a whopping Rs 5 crore has been spent on the jewelry used in the film. They posted, “Jewelry worth over Rs 5 crores is being used in the making of #Rudhramadevi to bring extreme authenticity to the character’s makeup & dressing! (sic)”. After Baahubali, this looks like the most expensive Telugu project in the making.
Is spending so much money on the project worth it? This also happens to be Gunasekhar’s self-produced project, and therefore, the risks are extremely high.
