The mythological superhero film “Hanu-Man” has become the first hit of 2024 in the Hindi markets. Starring Teja Sajja, the Hindi dubbed version of the movie has surpassed the opening weekend collections of KGF-1 (9.2 crores), Kantara (8 crores), and even Pushpa (12 crores).
Here’s the breakdown of the weekend collections:
– Friday: Rs 2.15 crore
– Saturday: Rs 4.05 crore
– Sunday: Rs 6.06 crore
Total: Rs 12.26 crore (Hindi version)
The film’s stronghold in mass sectors is a significant advantage, as these areas are expected to drive its business during weekdays. With no major releases until Hrithik Roshan’s “Fighter” on January 25, “Hanu-Man” has an opportunity to solidify its hit status.
After a successful weekend, the film is expected to continue its impressive run for the next few weeks. The film’s performance on Sunday across all circuits is a positive sign. The Hindu sentiments portrayed in the film seems to be resonating well with audiences.
“Hanu-Man” has successfully passed the Monday test in the Hindi markets, with the fourth-day collection expected to be at least 30 percent higher than the first day. Strong walk-ups in the evening and night could further increase this margin. The expected 4-day total is around 15 crores.
Looking ahead, the film is eyeing a lifetime total of 75 crores in its Hindi version. If Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter fails then Hanu Man can even go on to cross Pushpa’s lifetime business of 110 crores.
