Power star Pawan Kalyan made a, appearance at the Hari Hara Veera Mallu pre-release event, bringing not just star power but also political heat. During his speech, he recalled the troubles faced by his film Bheemla Nayak, which suffered at the box office due to reduced ticket prices imposed by the then YS Jagan-led Andhra Pradesh government.
“This is our government now. We have the ticket rates, and we’ll show our strength,” Pawan told his cheering fans.
While the government has indeed allowed higher ticket prices this time, not everyone sees it as a win. To be honest, the steep pricing may pose a challenge.
Audiences today are cautious about spending on movie tickets when prices are high — even recent mid-range films have struggled to draw crowds due to hiked ticket rates. Only big-ticket films with massive hype seem to bypass this pricing fatigue.
With Hari Hara Veera Mallu all set for release, all eyes are now on whether the buzz and Pawan Kalyan’s mass pull can overcome this pricing hurdle.
