HHVM Struggles: Pawan’s Emergency, OTT’s Pressure

Hari Hara Veera Mallu has already seen more delays than fans would like to count, and its journey to the big screen continues to be full of uncertainty.

Originally set for release on March 28, the makers postponed it to May 9, fueling hope that this would finally be the firm date.

The film is reportedly in its final stages, with just four days of shooting left—four crucial days that depend entirely on Pawan Kalyan’s availability. Unfortunately, those dates are yet to be given.

Adding to the unpredictability, Pawan Kalyan had to urgently fly to Singapore due to a personal crisis—his son, Mark Shankar, was reportedly injured in a fire accident. Naturally, the actor is under emotional stress, and there’s no clarity on how long he’ll remain abroad.

This delay has now placed the producers in a tight spot, especially with Amazon, which had acquired the OTT rights in all languages long ago.

According to reports, the streaming giant has issued a stern warning: the film must release on May 9. If not, they’ve allegedly threatened to either slash a huge percentage of the digital rights payout or cancel the deal entirely.

This pressure has officially reached the director and producers, and Pawan is said to be aware of it too. But with his son’s condition a top priority, everything else is on hold.

Caught between a deeply personal emergency and commercial deadlines, Hari Hara Veera Mallu now hangs in the balance—leaving producers stranded in a tug-of-war between empathy and obligation.
