Director Harish Shankar has issued a detailed clarification after an unintended quote-tweet created confusion on social media.
The filmmaker, currently busy with the promotional activities of his upcoming flick Ustaad Bhagat Singh starrer Power Star Pawan Kalyan, explained that a hectic schedule led to the oversight.
According to him, yesterday was an exceptionally busy day, as he met board officials post-censor, visited the famous Peddamma Temple, wrapped up post-production formalities, checked the latest song promo, participated in a round of promotions, and later headed to music director Thaman’s studio to supervise the background score.
In between these commitments, Harish Shankar was responding to journalists, well-wishers, and fans who were appreciating the film’s promotional content.
Amid that rush, he happened to read only a portion of a tweet and ended up quoting it without understanding the full context. Within short span, he was alerted, after which he immediately deleted the post.
The director emphasized that he holds immense respect for Superstar Mahesh Babu, saying he firmly believes many records will be created in the actor’s name with the film Varanasi.
He also reminded fans of his earlier tweets on the superstar’s birthday, especially about Pokiri, to reiterate his admiration.
Calling it a purely unintentional mistake, Harish Shankar extended a heartfelt apology to anyone who felt hurt.
He concluded by requesting continued support and goodwill from fans across all star families.
