Vijay Deverakonda is on a promotional spree for his upcoming release Kushi, scheduled to be released on September 1st. He visited Chennai and engaged with the Tamil media as part of the promotions.
During his media interactions, he discussed various films and topics related to other heroes, including Rajinikanth’s Jailer.
Vijay commented, “Rajinikanth sir can have 6 flops back to back, but he will bounce back with ‘Jailer,’ a 500 crore film.”
Although this comment was intended positively, it was not well received by Rajini fans. They strongly objected to the mention of 6 consecutive flops, as films like ‘Kabali,’ ‘2.0,’ and ‘Petta’ were not commercial failures. They pointed out that ‘Kabali,’ despite mixed reviews, achieved industry success during its release.
It’s important to note that when it concerns major stars, the choice of words makes a significant impact. This is where Vijay Deverakonda seemed to have missed the mark.
