Heroine’s Reason for Walking Out of Hottest Film

There are several movies that Ram Gopal Varma announced but didn’t go on to the floors and eventually got shelved. ‘Savithri’ turned ‘Sridevi’ is one such film. Poonam Kaur was roped in to play the female lead in the movie, who opted out of the movie, later. Why?

Poonam Kaur was excited for getting an offer to work with Ram Gopal Varma. When she went for the photoshoot, she didn’t feel comfortable and felt that something wasn’t genuine with the overall concept and the way things seemed to be summed up from the scrap.

So, she approached RGV and expressed her reservations. Even the director felt the same and approved her quitting the hottest project which got shelved eventually. The photoshoot was done by another individual, not RGV. Later, she did a role in the director’s next ‘Attack’.
