Nani’s upcoming emotional drama, “Hi Nanna,” directed by Shouryuv and featuring Mrunal Thakur and young talent Kiara Khanna, is set to captivate audiences on December 7. In a recent Diwali interview, Nani shared insights into the film, emphasizing the profound impact of the musical score composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
Nani commended Wahab’s ability to infuse the film’s first half with explosive energy through captivating melodies, reserving a distinctive soul for the second half. Highlighting the importance of music in love stories, Nani hailed Wahab as the lifeline of “Hi Nanna.”
The songs are melodious and also seem to gel well with the theme of the movie. But the overall response to the songs has been not very great from the core audience.
It is always expected that the music will create pre-release hype for such soft emotional films that are not front-loaded. But none of the songs from Hi Nanna have gone viral. Hesham has done a decent job but a chartbuster is missing that can push the film further.
The film industry is currently facing a shortage of talented music directors. Despite this challenge, the creators of “Hi Nanna” made a commendable decision by selecting Hesham who is a pro at providing music for such emotional films. Let’s hope the songs create a much better impact on the big screen.
