Two mainstream Indian biggies clashed at the box office this Christmas season – Dunki and Salaar. Here is a look at the final box office numbers of these two films at the Hindi box office.
Salaar has collected in the range of Rs 165 crores nett in the final run which is a reasonably good number. If it hadn’t been for the clash with Dunki it could have posted a bigger number. But nevertheless, it sets the stage for the sequel which could go big.

As for Dunki, despite having a winning combination of SRK and Hirani, the film grossly underdelivered at the box office. It wrapped up at around Rs 201 crore nett. It appeared that the Bollywood audience were done with seeing SRK on screen twice in the year in Jawan and Pathan already.

The final nett number of Dunki in the Hindi belt might be bigger but given the stakes involved and the combination value it has, the film has not reached the expectations. Salaar held its ground in the clash and has laid a good platform for the sequel.
