Hope, They’d Given Ratings After Watching

Senior actor Srikanth’s movie ‘Operation 2019‘ has got very poor ratings from the critics and even, in reality, the movie isn’t running with any different talk, either. But, Srikanth thinks that critics’ verdict is different from the audiences’ verdict. In the press meet, Srikanth said that he is happy for the openings, number of theatres and rise in the collections.

Talking about the critics, he expressed an opinion that indirectly says that critics were biased in giving poor ratings for his movie. He said, “Critics would have given the ratings and had watched the movie in the theatres before giving the ratings.” Well, that was a bit overboard. It’s nothing wrong if he thinks they made a genuine attempt to educate audiences about the contemporary political scene.

Movie making is not only about making a film with a purpose without commercial elements, songs and fights but also there will be many other things that will make it work like the right kind of script, proper characterisation and a gripping narration. As a senior hero, Srikanth is no naive to all these aspects. But, his comments on critics and ratings don’t seem to hold good. Hope, he is really happy with the outcome of ‘Operation 2019’.
