Director Shankar with his big budget extravaganza is always an event for Telugu movie goers. He has rarely gone wrong on those big films and hence every time he comes up with one there is a big anticipation for it which is why I is so keenly awaited.
Now getting further into details, this Shankar directed film starring Vikram has completed its shoot long back and is currently in post production. A teaser of the film has already been released and its received sensational response from the viewers which can be gauged from its mind boggling views. This has lead to the film getting fancy offers from the distributors in Telugu and already the selling is going on area wise for the film.
All this is fine but the biggest problem with the film is its release date. Every time the makers are looking at a tentative date the film slated to release around that time are getting postponed. We saw that with Diwali releases and now the tentative release dates doing the rounds in the industry are Christmas and Sankranthi. There is a more inclination towards the latter, says sources. If that is the case then it will have to clash with films like Gopala Gopala and Temper, both of which are made on medium budget and lacking the extravaganza and expectations like that of Shankar’s film.
This is running fear among the distributors of those Telugu films which are being acquired for huge prices keeping the season advantage in mind. Will I play the spoilsport here?
