Is Mahesh Copying from legendary ANR’s film?

As of now, all the eyes are set on Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie with Koratala Shiva titled ‘Srimanthudu’. Mahesh Babu’s fans are eagerly waiting for the promotional material from the movie in the form of official posters, teasers and trailers. Meanwhile, they are keeping in track with the updates available from trusted (?) Sources.

According to one latest update on the movie, Mahesh Babu would be seen as a playboy in the first half of the movie and in the second half the reason for his characterisation would be revealed. This is exactly what ‘Srimanthudu’ is all about. Here we are not talking about Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’.

There is an old film titled ‘Srimanthudu’ starring legendary ANR and Jamuna in the lead roles which has almost the same story line. ANR played the role of a playboy who is a multi-millionaire, indeed a spoilt child from a rich family. If the buzz is to be believed, even Mahesh is playing a multi-millionaire who is a playboy in Koratala Shiva’s movie.

If this turns out to be true, then the similarity between the two movies wouldn’t be confined to only title but also to the concept of the movie. One can’t go entirely with the buzz and hence let’s wait till the truth surfaces from the makers of the movie.
