Is Pawan Kalyan becoming like other stars?

Pawan kalyan interview photoFor years Pawan Kalyan has remained aloof and out of media glare. There were many things happening related to him, many of his films released, they didn’t do well as expected, he was talked about and pulled down as star but he remained silent on those talks and didn’t bother to promote his films for box office gains. He always said that he believed in letting the films talk rather than him. Have things changed off late?

The lack of success was sooner or later going to catch up and it did when he agreed for a grand audio launch function for Jalsa, for the first time in his career. Post Jalsa, it has become a norm or sorts. For Panjaa he went a step ahead and gave an exclusive interview. Despite it being primarily said to coincide with 15 years of his career, the timing of it surely made it a promotional material. Then there was a little interview for Gabbar Singh too.

Finally for Atharintiki Daredi, he did everything that any other star does from the audio launch to success meet to exclusive interview with director. One could have thought of it as an exclusive case due to all that has happened surrounding the film but now the same pattern is followed for Gopala Gopala as well. Has Pawan Kalyan finally turned a new leaf in terms of promotion of his films?

There is also a talk that the star is taking big part of his remuneration from the success of his films post the release and its run rather than a hefty pay check upfront. Is this forcing the star to take care of the film’s theatrical run by giving such promotional interviews? Also with his political avatar on display is he also trying to penetrate the “goody-goody” truth speaking star image into public? What do you think of this change in Powerstar? Do you like it?
