Is Venky repeating ‘Rao Gaarillu’?

Almost an year ago, there had been a gossip making rounds that Nitya Menon was asked to play heroine for Venky. Nevertheless, the pretty actress declined the offer saying that her pairing with a senior hero like Venkatesh would look very odd. This time a teenage heroine’s name is making rounds that she being considered to play Venky’s heroine.

Avika Gor aka Anandi of ‘Uyyala Jampala’ fame is being approached for the main lead role opposite Venky. This time, the pairing didn’t raise any odd remarks since there is a talk in the industry that the story needs a seventeen year old heroine and senior heroine Nadiya is playing another female lead in Venky’s movie. Venky is almost three times more Avika’s age.

Senior hero Venky with senior heroine Nadiya; and another teenage heroine reminds the yesteryear movie lovers of legendary ANR’s film ‘Rao Gaarillu’ which had senior heroine Jayasudha as his wife who meets with an accident and dies. And then comes in a teenage tutor Revati (now senior heroine) who falls for the middle aged hero (ANR) and proposes to marry him.

There was once a time that senior heroines in their sixties used to run around trees with teenage heroines. Now the trend had changed and audiences are showing more interest on same age group pairs rather than odd pairing with huge age gap. But if such an odd pairing is in the offing, it certainly means the story might be equally interesting and unpredictable. To be frank, nothing is official yet on Venky’s movie.
