Of late, Jagapathi had turned villain and playing negative characters in movies. But that change wasn’t easy for the actor who always played good guy roles throughout his career. When Jagapathi got his first offer as villain in ‘Legend’, he couldn’t digest it initially.

He used to get up early at 2-3 a.m. in the morning and cry every day. Even for ‘Naannaku Prematho’ character as a menacing villain, Jagapathi got totally disturbed and disappointed the director on the second day. But he had to come to terms with his choices and hence decided to give it a shot instead of lamenting.

Jagapathi says, he is playing the kind of guy who he will hate in real life with all his heart. ‘Legend’s character will seem better as the audience had a soft corner that the villain was a stupid. ‘Naannaku Prematho’ character will not get even that sympathy tells Jagapathi, who thinks it is the mist disgusting character.
