Director wants go to court for "UA'

Jai Gangaajal censor fightAfter Bajirao Mastani and Quantico, talented actress Priyanka Chopra is ready to shake the film world with her next release. However, her upcoming movie, the Prakash Jha directed ‘Jai Gangaajal’, has run into some trouble beforehand with Censor board (CBFC).

According to the latest reports, the movie has some very violent scenes which did not go well with the Censor Board. ‘Jai Gangaajal’ is a crime drama flick, bound to have a lot of action and violence, so the Censor Board wanted to certify it as ‘Adult’ while giving it some essential cuts.

However, director Prakash Jha insisted the film be ‘UA’ as Gangaajal, which released in 2003 has been telecast on TV over 300 times passed with a U/A certificate. Director is not ready to accept the “A” certification and has taken this whole matter to the tribunal committee, he says if they don’t approve “UA” he will go to the court.
