Jailer Director Blackmailing RajinikanthThe South Indian film industry is facing controversy over two movies titled ‘Jailer.’ One stars Rajinikanth, while the other is directed by Sakkir Madathil and features Dhyan Sreenivasan. Madathil claims to have registered the title first and requested that the Rajinikanth film use an alternative title to avoid confusion.

However, the production company, Sun Pictures, declined and moved to court. Director Madathil, in response, has filed a counter in court, with the hearing scheduled for August 2.

Recently, director Sakkir Madathil gave a statement saying that he spent a total of Rs. 5 crore to make Jailer. He has mortgaged his house and his daughter’s jewelry. He has sold his car. He has taken loans from banks and also from outside sources.

He revealed that he is having difficulty paying interest. He even thought of committing suicide. He said Rajinikanth was a good person, and he would understand his plight. He said that his future lies in ‘Jailer.’

Rajini fans are saying that the director wants to gain the sympathy of the common public while also indirectly blackmailing Rajinikanth by narrating his suicide story.

Nelson directed Rajinikanth’s version, which is an action movie with a star-studded cast. On the other hand, the Malayalam film is a period drama set in the 1950s, focusing on a jailer living with five dreaded criminals and his experiment with them. Despite the dispute, both films are proceeding with their respective release plans.
