Suriya Facing Criticism for Poor Timing

Whenever there is a serious issue going on in a State, people expect celebrities to respond and show their responsibility towards society. Suriya did the same with regard to the ban on the traditional sport, Jallikattu.

But, PETA (People for the Ethical treatment of Animals) could see that his statement supporting the traditional sport was poorly timed. While the issue was going on in Tamil Nadu since several days, Suriya’s response came rather very late. True.

PETA alleges that Suriya came out in support of Jallikattu just before the release of his film ‘Singam 3’ which is going to hit theaters on 26th January. It’s for the publicity of his film that he voiced his opinion and as it came very late, it is said to be poor timing by Suriya with the intention to get publicity.
