Jana Nayagan Turns Sreeleela’s Lenin Trolls into Fans?

Even though Sreeleela is hugely popular, many people believe performance-wise she is not a good actress. Her recent disasters have further damaged her reputation. The trolling became even worse after Lenin turned into a big hit.

Sreeleela was originally signed as the heroine but had to leave the film. Bhagyashri Borse replaced her, and after Lenin became a huge success, social media was filled with comments claiming the film became a hit because Sreeleela was not in it. Some even said the movie would have flopped if she had stayed.

But within days, things have taken a shocking turn.

Vijay’s long-delayed Jana Nayagan released today and opened to some of the worst reviews for a big film in recent times. Many viewers called it an atrocious farewell film for Vijay. Since the film is a remake of Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, the outright negative response has made many people appreciate the original film even more.

That appreciation has also reached Sreeleela.

In Jana Nayagan, Mamitha Baiju plays the role that Sreeleela played in Bhagavanth Kesari. However, many social media users feel her character is completely butchered compared to the Telugu original. The poor writing and terrible presentation take away its emotional weight.

Also, Mamitha Baiju, who is usually loved by Gen Z for her lively performances and dances, appears quite amateurish in the film, almost as if she doesn’t know how to act. Mamitha completely looks miscast. In comparison, Sreeleela’s neat performance comes across as far more convincing.

Because of this, many of the same people who trolled Sreeleela after Lenin are now praising her performance in Bhagavanth Kesari. Several posts say Sreeleela handled the emotional scenes much better and that her performance was never given the credit it deserved when the film was released.

Ironically, Jana Nayagan has not only made people appreciate Anil Ravipudi’s Bhagavanth Kesari more, but it has also earned Sreeleela fresh praise for her performance.

For an actress who was recently trolled for the success of Lenin, this is quite a dramatic and unexpected turnaround.
