Jawan Effect: SRK Is Not The Number 1

Shah Rukh Khan made one of the greatest comebacks with the 1000-crore grosser Pathaan this year. And now his latest release, Jawan, is wreaking havoc at the box office. After Jawan, it won’t be wrong to say Shah Rukh Khan is not number 1, but he is number 1 to number 5 at the Bollywood box office.

It is Shah Rukh Khan who is competing with Shah Rukh Khan these days. Jawan is chasing Pathaan at the box office. No other actor in the current form has the lineup or craze to challenge Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman Khan has delivered continuous flops for the past many years, including his last film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also included south superstars like Ram Charan and Venkatesh. Aamir is out of the race after Laal Singh Chaddha’s disastrous fate, and he is still not sure what project to sign.

Hrithik Roshan has the talent and craze to match SRK’s stardom, but his inconsistent choice of films and long gaps between films are taking a toll on his craze. His next film, Fighter with Sidharth Anand, however, looks promising.

Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn never came close to the number 1 spot. New-age actors Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, and Kartik Aaryan still have to go a long way to reach the top, though Ranbir looks the most promising.

In the overseas market, Shah Rukh Khan is the biggest star ever, and he is the undisputed number 1 to number 10. The SRK era is back again after a decade, and it would be interesting to see who will challenge his box office run in the coming days.
