Jayam Ravi’s Shocking Allegations Against In-Laws

Actor Ravi Mohan, popularly known as Jayam Ravi, held an emotionally charged press conference in Chennai on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Breaking his silence over his ongoing divorce row with estranged wife Aarti, the veteran actor announced a complete break from the film industry. He declared that he will neither shoot for any new projects nor allow any of his completed films to release until his legal divorce is officially finalized.

Visibly breaking down during the media interaction, Ravi leveled severe allegations against his in-laws, claiming he was “kept like a slave” for years without basic financial independence or a personal bank account. He expressed deep anguish over being barred from meeting his two sons, who he alleges are kept under strict bodyguard supervision to keep him away. The actor also admitted to a past incident of self-harm, revealing that the psychological trauma had previously pushed him to slit his wrists.

Lashing out heavily against cyberbullies and online trolls, Ravi stated that his long-held silence was mistakenly perceived as weakness. He fiercely defended his 23-year clean professional record and drop-hinted at an influential “three-letter actress” whom he blames for orchestrating the destruction of his family. Turning highly defiant, the actor concluded by stating he will no longer remain passive and is ready to fight for his dignity.
