Jr NTR has scored an important legal victory in the Delhi High Court to protect his identity from misuse on the internet. On December 22, 2025, the court passed an interim order stopping anyone from using his name, photos, voice, or image without permission for commercial purposes. This includes selling items like T-shirts, mugs, posters, or using popular titles linked to him, such as “Man of Masses,” without his consent.
The case was heard by the Delhi High Court, where the judge clearly acknowledged NTR’s strong public image built through his films, awards, and brand endorsements. The court observed that unauthorized use of his identity could mislead fans and damage his reputation. Because of this, the judge felt immediate protection was necessary.
As part of the order, online shopping platforms and sellers have been directed to remove all illegal merchandise within 72 hours. Google has also been asked to remove links that do not comply with the order. In addition, digital platforms must clearly explain how they handle complaints related to personality rights.
NTR later thanked the court, his legal team, and his fans through a social media post on December 29. He expressed gratitude for the support and trust shown during the case.
This decision follows similar rulings in favor of other big celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai, and highlights how serious the problem of fake merchandise, deepfakes, and online misuse has become. Fans welcomed the judgment, calling it a strong step toward protecting celebrities in the digital age. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
