JR NTR Nelson Dilipkumar

For a long time, now they have been debates about the fact that junior NTR is not fully utilising his potential as an actor as he is confining himself only to commercial films. But it must also be noted that NTR is a mass hero, and he will have to operate within certain tropes to entertain his target folk.

However, this could change considerably if NTR really does work with Tamil director Nelson for his upcoming film. This project has been in the discussion stage for a long time now and producer Naga Vamsi has hinted about the same recently.

It is hard fact that working with Nelson comes with its own set of risks, including the lack of nativity and different style of filmmaking that might not necessarily suit the Telugu masses.

However, there is something very new that Nelson brings on the table that would certainly excite NTR and also his audience with this film.

Right from the announcement videos to promo to the actual film, Nelson operates completely out of the block. There is this layer of subtle dark comedy, and also unconventional style of narrative that is going to be fresh to the Telugu audience.

We have seen NTR in multiple commercial roles that have occasionally challenged the emotional core of the actor. What the real deal will be is to try something completely out of the ordinary, and that could perhaps be made possible only with this Nelson film.

Nelson usually wants his actors to have bland facial expressions in order to deliver unique presentation and storytelling tropes. However, the catch here is that India is a very expressive actor, and it will be very hard to maintain him in a bland frame.

But what is an offer is that Nelson will bring out something that we haven’t seen in NTR till now, and this will be the only upside of the film. Perhaps this could be seen as that one off film from NTR where he could perhaps risk it just for the sake of freshness and excite fans, rather than aim it as a Rs 1000 crore film.
