Kamal Haasan’s film gets relief officially

Kamal-Haasan-papanasamThe Second Additional District Court in Ernakulum where a case was filed against the shooting of the film Papanasam and its release, has dismissed the plea today. It was alleged by the petitioner that the story of the film starring Kamal Haasan was a copy of his work.

Papanasam is remake of Malayalam Industry Hit Drishyam starring Mohan Lal. The film and its various remakes, barring the Telugu one have been facing similar charges over the past year ever since the remakes were announced in first place. This is the first time that a court has out rightly rejected a plea giving hope to the cast and crew of remake.
