Kamalinee Mukharjee has been a very recognizable name in Telugu for a major part of last decade. However during the same time she couldn’t make a name for her in Tamil films as she hardly did any films.

In an entire decade she has seen in only two film where the original film was small guest role and other film was a remake of Telugu film Gamyam. It was a surprise as usually successful heroines from Telugu are tried regularly in Tamil. She seems to be clearly an exception and the latest development cements its further.

The actress who is out of work in Telugu has now landed a big project in Tamil. She will be seen in a highly anticipated Tamil film Iraivi made by the director of Pizza and Jigarthanda. Will this film prove to be turning point for her and help her start a new phase as actress in Tamil?
