Bheemasena Nalamaharaja, on the other hand, premiered directly on OTT in 2020 due to the pandemic. Directed by Karthik Saragur and produced by Rakshit Shetty and Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah, it featured Aravinnd Iyer, Aarohi Narayan, and Priyanka Thimmesh.
The Kannada film revolves around a skilled chef who crosses paths with a woman named Sara and narrates his past love story to her. The film explored themes of relationships and emotional conflicts.
Despite the allegations, many on social media have noted that the two films do not appear identical. While there might be some similarities, audiences believe that Hi Nanna has a distinct storyline, a completely new backdrop, and emotional core.
The makers of Hi Nanna have not yet responded to the controversy.
